Looking in a newspaper, Marsha White sees an ad for golden thimbles. She goes to the Brimbles store and immediately things go wrong. This store is completely odd, and it seems like it’s from another dimension, which it just might be! This book talks about Marsha White, and her adventure in the Brimbles store. She walks in and finds that this place is crawling with mannequins! But it’s not the normal amount of mannequins, that you’d find at any store, no, this place seems to be only mannequins! She’s only seen one live person today, and she’s starting to worry. Marsha wonders through Brimbles, wondering if she’ll ever find what she came for. She goes to the eighteenth story, meets a completely odd woman she doesn’t know but the woman knows her. She FINALLY gets what she came for, but it’s not what she wanted. The thimble's dented and scratched and when she demands a refund, she becomes even more confused. There is no eighteenth story; they didn’t put out an ad for golden thimbles; and they insist that she got it from the gift department. What are they talking about? What story did she go to, if not the eighteenth? What’s wrong with this store? Will she ever know? This book by Rod Sterling is great, and I recommend you read it! It is a graphic novel, so if you don’t like those, you wouldn’t like it. But it’s easy to follow, and is so interesting that you’ll keep reading until the end. You’ll never suspect what’s coming next. You should read it!
